What we do
Knights of Columbus Council 5192 is here for the support of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Devine TX.
Not only do we support our local Catholic Church, we also work together to support Catholic Churches around our area.
We are here for the support of our Church and our local community. The Knights of Columbus 5192 have many out reaches for our community.
Our Council has been able to help our local school district, Faith formation classes, local food bank, sponsor priests attending seminary school
and many other things.
We have been able to complete task like this with our constant support of our members and community. We look forward to the things we
complete together.
UNDERSTANDING COUNCIL OFFICER ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Each year your council elects and appoints new men to take on leadership roles within your council. Sometimes these roles are well-defined while other times the role may be expanded based on that individuals talents or interests.
Each officer holds a year term that starts in July of current year and will end in June of following year.

Our History and Heritage
Founded on the principles of charity, unity and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus was established in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney, assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Conn., and a group of parishioners. Their intent? To bring financial aid and assistance to the sick, disabled and needy members and their families.
Today, Father McGivney is being considered for sainthood.
